Clarence J. Fabry papers

Clarence J. Fabry served in North Africa and Italy as an automotive equipment operator at the rank of private during World War II. He was discharged from the Army in 1945 and worked several years as a merchant marine on the Great Lakes. Fabry was born on August 5, 1912 in Nadeau, Michgan, to parents Servia and Victorine (Glimn) Fabry. He died on December 27, 1993 in Escanaba, Michigan. The collection consists of letters written to his sister Josephine Fabry Paquette and her family in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The collection also includes photographs, some of which appear to have been taken on the front lines.
