Family members gather in Nadeau as Clifford Perras prepares to go overseas during World War II. Family note indicates this was taken in 1943. Back row: Lillian Perras, Alice Perras, Clifford Perras, Edna Perras. Front row: James Perras and Hubert Giguere. Clifford Perras (1914-1975) served in the U.S. Army 106th Infantry Division from March 1943 to August 1945. He was a motor pool sergeant in the 424th Infantry Regiment, Company H anti-tank unit, which sustained six weeks of combat in the Battle of the Bulge. Pictured with him are his wife, Alice; sisters Lillian and Edna; and nephews Jim and Hubert. They are in Nadeau near the family’s Blue Front Hotel and Restaurant. Across the street is a gas station. |
