Madcat Ruth and Shari Kane Hiawatha Music Festival Performance

Peter 'Madcat' Ruth was a harmonica player with big credentials accumulated over some three decades. He began playing folk/blues around Chicago in the 1960s, studying with the famed Big Walter Horton. Shari Kane was called "the most dangerous fingerstyle blues guitarist north of the Yazoo". Her devotion to blues dates from the 1970s and her mature development from the mid-1980s, when she travelled with prolific blues-based guitarist, singer and songwriter Rory Block, one of her biggest influences.
