Erin Anderson grew up in California. She moved to a farm in Skandia, Michigan in 1990 and subsequently moved to Marquette, Michigan. She has taught English in many countries since the 1990s, including Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, and Armenia, and she has also taught ESL (English as a Second Language) in Marquette, Michigan. Topics include why she keeps returning to Marquette, her experiences in the MFA program at Northern Michigan University, how NMU has changed since the 1990s, her opinions about the "Right to Try" policy at NMU, and her experiences in Marquette during the COVID-19 pandemic. <br> <br> Erin Anderson has also donated an essay about life in the Upper Peninsula to UPLINK. <a href="https://uplink.nmu.edu/islandora/object/nmu%3A59199">Read it here.</a> |
