Postcard from sisters at Good Shepherd Home, Green Bay, to Hubert Perras, Nadeau. After his wife Minnie’s death in 1919, Hubert had to send five daughters and two sons to orphanages in Green Bay. In this postcard, a nun is reporting on the girls’ well-being. “We received check to apply to board acct. We are glad to advise that the girls are all [illegible] and getting along nicely at school. I hope your health will improve so that you will be able to pay the girls a little visit so they [illegible] with kin. Regards, Sister M. Gertrude, Green Bay, Wis. Feb 28/24. |
