Donovan Murphy oral history interview

Donovan Murphy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2000 and later moved to Lansing, Michigan. At the time of the interview in 2021, he had lived in Marquette, Michigan for three years while attending Northern Michigan University. Murphy discusses his fascination with Upper Peninsula culture, his creation of the Uniquely Yooper Culture Club, and his experiences working as a historical interpretor at Fort Wilkins. Another major topic is the COVID-19 pandemic, including his experiences as an essential worker, how Northern Michigan University responded to the pandemic, why he decided to get the vaccine, and how he thinks the pandemic affected social interactions.
