The Escanaba Tribune was a weekly newspaper that began publication in Escanaba, Michigan on December 9, 1869. It changed its name to The Iron Port on October 6, 1877. The paper went through a number of name and frequency changes over the next several years: The Semi-Weekly Iron Port and Calumet on May 5, 1891, The Semi-Weekly Iron Port on June 12, 1891, The Weekly Iron Port on March 17, 1892, The Iron Port on May 13, 1893, The Weekly Iron Port on August 3, 1895, and the Iron Port on September 21, 1898. There was also a brief attempt at a daily paper called the Evening Iron Port in November and December of 1899. It ran concurrently with the weekly paper The Iron Port. This collection ends in July 1910. It is unclear if the paper continued after this point.
