Description / Synopsis
Clifton Rogers (born 1919) briefly discusses his own life and then describes the life of his father, Henry Hail Francis Rogers. He discusses Henry's childhood in Bristol, England in the late 1800s, his education, his hobbies, English cultural traditions, and his work as an undertaker in England and as a miner in the Upper Peninsula. He also describes why Henry moved to Canada and then to Negaunee, his political views, his reactions to events during World War II and the Cold War, his opinions of the United States and Britain, and the immigration process. |
