Duluth and Wisconsin railroad

This company, notice of whose incorporation was given in the Duluth News some days ago, was formed to make a portion of hte Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic. The incorporators and first board of directors are W.H. Fisher and J.H. Hammond, St. Paul; Albert S. Chase, of Duluth; William V. No and and Elmber E. Barton, of West Superior, Wisconsin. The board of directors met at the office of A. S. Chase, general agent of the Northern Pacific, in Duluth, at 1 p.m. Decmeber 3, and organized by the election of A.S. Chase, chairman, and William V. Noad, secretary pro tem. Permanent organization of the company was effected by the election of John H. Hammond as president and treasurer, and William V. Noad, secretary. Resolutions were adopted for the consolidation of the company and the road with the other companies and roads composing the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic, so as to form one corporation and a continuous line from Duluth and West Superior to St. Ignace adn the Sault. The meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the president.
