Description / Synopsis
A man in a plaid jacket on a set of railroad tracks does a salute that could be a Nazi salute with one hand while the other hand holds a suitcase. These pictures seem to be depicting a lumber camp in Ontonagon County, which could be Camp Pori, a CCC camp turned German POW camp during World War II. However, it's unlikely a prisoner would be so unabashedly doing the salute in front of Americans. It's more likely an older photo, and he's doing the Flag Salute (or the Bellamy Salute) to honor the American flag. |
