Description / Synopsis
The music styles "Blues" and "Rags" are melded together in this workshop. The combination of the two styles formed the basis of early Jazz. According to Bill Hart's commentary on the recording, the performers at the workshop were Rory Block, Frank and Dave Youngman, and Bob Bovee and Friends. Per the festival program, however, the performers were Rory Block; Frank Youngman and Dave Ross; and Bob Bovee, Gail Heil, and the Superior Shufflers. |
