Description / Synopsis
Sarah Bottrell (born 1904) discusses her family background and growing up in Ishpeming. She then speaks at length about attending Northern in the early 1920s, memories of faculty members, student activities, boarding houses, the influenza epidemic in 1918, polio epidemics, her teaching career in Newberry and "Grey Beret" (might be a mishearing of Grand Marais?), labor strikes, and Communism. |
