Tom Prophet (born 1939) discusses his family, growing up in the Ishpeming area, his education in National Mine schools, recreation and chores, living conditions, changes in technology and society over the course of his life, his work history as a mechanic and owner of an insurance agency, how World War II affected his family, and diseases and medical care. He also recounts hunting anecdotes. NOTE: This audio recording came from a cassette tape labelled "Tim Foster," but it actually contained an interview with Tom Prophet. |
