Description / Synopsis
This video was produced by the NMU Alumni Association for alumni. Most of the video is a history of the university, including an interview with Edgar Harden about the growth of the university in the 1950s and 1960s and the "Right to Try" policy, interviews with the Barracks Boys about athletics at Northern, an interview with John X. Jamrich about his tenure as president from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, an interview with the student band the Fantastics, an interview with James Appleberry about how NMU dealt with recession in the 1980s, and new projects at NMU including changes in technology, the Seaborg Center, plans to save Longyear and Pearce Halls, and athletic programs. |
