This collection contains two genealogy binders compiled by Fern Malila, Donna Siren, Kenneth Knuutila, and Karen Donovall. The binders include genealogical information, source documents, and photographs regarding the family history of the Knuutila, Lauren, Merikoski, and Siren families who moved from Finland to Ontonagon County, Michigan around the turn of the twentieth century. This collection was donated to UPLINK by Fern Malila at the community digitization event held in Ontonagon in July 2022. The event was sponsored by the Ontonagon County Historical Society and funded by the Michigan Humanities Council.
