Description / Synopsis
"Say Ya to da U-P" was a session at the 1984 Hiawatha Music Festival. It does not appear to be the name of a musical group, and the performers are unnamed. The "In the Pines" narrator describes the session as a tribute to the folklore of the Upper Peninsula. The musicians performed three unidentified folk songs, one accordion instrumental, “The Girl from Ipanema” by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, and told an ethnic joke about "Finlanders." |
