Jerry Anderson (born 1921) discusses his family, his education in Ishpeming schools, chores, holidays, serving in the Navy during World War II, his career as a geologist for the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company, civic organizations, special education, the consolidation of area schools, and his time on the school boards of Ishpeming Township, the NICE school district, and Marquette-Alger Intermediate Schools. NOTE: "NICE" stands for National Mine, Ishpeming Township, Champion – Humboldt – Spurr Townships, and Ely Township. |
