Description / Synopsis |
Description / Synopsis
Juanita Velasco discusses life in the small villages of Guatemala, how the rural culture has changed over the years, and how local economies thrive through the textile trade. She speaks about some of the Mayan traditions that are still held today and some that are gradually being lost due to tourism and the influence of American and European culture in those communities. She also briefly discusses immigrating to the United States in 1981. |
