Flo Bowman (born 1919) briefly discusses her childhood on a farm in "Longsville," Pennsylvania. Her own connection to the Upper Peninsula is unclear, but her granddaughter who conducted the interview lived in National Mine. I cannot find a city in Pennsylvania called "Longsville."
