Settled for $150.00, May 31, 1889 Claim No. 35. By. E. S. smith, Matchwood, Mich., for damages for timber cut in constructing road across W1/2 NW1/4 Sec. 19, T48, R40, Ontonagon county. Wrote Smith May 13, 1889, stating that Ry. Co., owned ROW under last of U. S. A. Claim No. 10 By S. S. Empey, Bruces Crossing, for 1800 ties furnished DSS and A Ry. in T47N R38. Settled May 31, 1889, for $300.00. Claim No. 36 By. Wm. A. Harvey, Kitchie, Mi., Houghton County, for damages for timber cut in constructing DSS and A Ry. Received letter of Harvey to President of DSS and A Ry., from F. W. Fitch, May 25, 1889.
