Description / Synopsis |
Description / Synopsis
Photograph showing the first Iroquois Hotel, which was located on Mullett Lake. It was dismantled, hauled to the Sault, and re-assembled by W. C. Smith. It burned in 1897, and a new hotel was erected on the same spot. The second Iroquois Hotel also burned in 1907. The home on the right of the hotel was W. C. Smith's residence, while the white house further right was the home of George Brown, elected first mayor of the Sault in 1886. |
