Feb. 27, 1891 Friday McMillan, Feb. 26 - On Sunday Feb. 22, our much esteemed friend and stations agent, A. A. Clumpner, of the DSS and A was notified by his superior officers that his services were required at a more responsible office than this one, viz., Eagle Mills. The news soon became known about town that Al was going to leave us soon, perhaps by Tuesday. Several of our townshpeople [*townspeople] concluded to give him a surprise party as a token of friendship, at his boarding house on Monday evening. ... DSS and A Stations - McMillan - Eagle Mills |
