February 14, 1891 Saturday A report reached this city early in the week, that General Manager Fitch resigned his position with the DSS and A. The report came by telegraph from Milwaukee. The Democrat asked Mr. Fitch immediately upon his return from Montreal whether the report was true and was glad to receive his answer, "No." Mr. Fitch's resignation would be a serious blow to the railroad interests of this city. |
