January 10, 1891 Saturday There is no one in Alger county but what will be pleased to read the following, taken from the Lake County Star, published at Baldwin. "W. O. Smith, received a promotion last Monday, by being appointed ticket agent at the Union Depot. "Mr. Smith was formerly agent for the South Shore at Munising and he was one of the most popular agents on the road. He reresigned[sic] the agency at Munising to accept a position at Baldwin and he certainly is worthy of any promotion he may receive." |
