Daily mining journal (Marquette, Mich.) Source: The Mining Journal Marquette, Mi. December 3, 1892 Ishpeming Paid Dear for Their Fun A young man who is employed as operator at South Ishpmeing on the DSS and A truned the tables on a number of boys working on that portion of the raod Thursday night. A dummy belonging to a certain Ishpeming clothing merchant was secured and togged out with a while shirt, collar, tie, etc., etc., and placed in the young man's bed in order to give him a scare when he was about to retire for the night. When the young man first discovered the stranger in his bed he was somewhat stratled, but after a few moments consideration resolved to play out the h and and proceeded to awaken his new bed fellow. On discovering what had been done he took the plaster of paris cast and completely destroyed it. Aslo the clothing was destroyed. he now has the satisfaction of seeing his friends foot the bill of the clothing merchant. |
