Source: The Newberry Independent, Newberry, Luce County, MI Thursday, Oct. 17, 1889 A lady passenger on the Duluth limited gave birth to a child Sunday evening just after the train pulled out of Marquette. The train was backed, the lady taken off and placed in a hotel. The train was about a half hour late getting into Ishpeming, but it shall never be said that a railroad owned by the junior senator of this state was quilty than doing other than the fair thing by a lady.
