On September 26, 1889, while working on bridge no. 307, 1 mile west of Kitchie, a stinger, which was being replaced upon bridge by other men slipped and fell off upon McDonald's back, fracturing back. McDonald has been at Champion Hospital, Champion, Mi., ever since accident. On June 2, 1890, company gave McDonald $583.40 cash and bought railway ticket for himself and brother (as attendant) and sent him to his home, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Isl and . Tickets were $16.60. Obtained a release from McDonald. |
