August 25, 1888 Saturday The First Section Part of the extension of the DSS and A from Iron River Junction to West Superior is all ready under contract, the first seventeen miles having been let to Henry and Balch, of Minneapolis, who are well known here from their connection with other upper peninsula railroad extensions. They will begin work immediately. The other sections will be let in a few days.
