August 4, 1888 Saturday Excursionists Nearly 300 people took the excursion train here last Saturday morning and participated in the AOUW reunion at Houghton and Hancock. The Woodmen Selected Knights turned out in full force and all wore campaign hats. But a small proportion of the Negaunee excursionists returned on the Saturday evening train. The excursion trains followed the regular train down last night. The visitors to copperdom were tired, but report having had a good time. DSS and A Passenger |
