Sources The Alger County Republican Au Train, Alger County, Mi. June 9, 1888 Saturday Michael Mahan, one of the oldest engineers on the DSS and A, has been promoted to Road Foreman of Engines. His duties will consist in being everywhere present on the road and to see that the engineers and firemen attend to their duties properly while on the road and to assist the superintendent of motive power and machinery by suggestions and accurate reports of the work performed by the engines and their crews, etc. D. C. Mulvilhill, formerly with the Pennsylvania, has been appointed Master Car Builder. This is a new office on this road, this branch of work having heretofore been in charge of tne Master Mechanic. The latter can now give his whole time to the care of the motive power.
