Marie and St. Ignace all have their gold, silver, iron or some other kinds of mines, and not to be behind the times, Newberry had to have one, and she's got it too. Recent discoveries show that a deposit of iron lies about three miles north of the village on l and owned by the DM and M L and Co. Mining experts have recently looked over the field but are quiet as to results. Nevertheless, enough is known to show that workings of the find and further developments will soon be made.
