November 26, 1887 Saturday Changes in Agents Negaunee - Mr. C. H. Schaffer succeeds C. Houle as agent of The DSS and A at this station. Mr. Schaffer has for some time been agent at Humboldt, and comes here well recommended. He is now in the city familiarizing himself with the affairs of the station here. The formal transfer of the station will take place on the first instance. On that date Mr. Houle will relieve Mr. Kline as agent of the American Express Co. Mr. Houle held the last named position and has an established reputation as a faithful and oblidging [* obliging] official. The company will establish free delivery as soon as possible. Mr. Bedford, who was for some time operator at The DSS and A station has been promoted and takes Mr. Schaffer's place at Humboldt. DSS and A Stations - Negaunee - Humboldt |
