Thursday, November 24, 1887 A Change - Mr. C.H. Schaffer, the successor of C. Houle, as agent of the DSS and A in this place arrived in town yesterday and is looking over the affairs of the office preparatory to taking charge. Mr. Schaffer is a man of considerable experience in railroad matters, having been agent at Humboldt for some time past, where he earned the reputation of being a careful, competent and obliging official. The patrons of the road are to be congratulated upon his coming among us. Mr. Houle will take charge of the express office here and will no boudt [* doubt] make the service as popular as possible under the abomniable discriminations of the company. It is the intention to deliver packages to the business men of the place. The office will be located in the room of the union depot occupied by the C and NW as ticket office.
