Source: The Daily Mining Journal Marquette, Michigan July 22, 1887 Friday Directors Elected The annual meeting of the stockholders of the M and W RR., the stockholders of the MH and O RR., and the stockholders of the DSS and A were held yesterday in the office of E. W. Allen, assistant secretary and treasurer of the DSS and A. Mr. Allen was selected as chairman in each meeting and Mr. R. R. Kinkade as secretary. George S. Hobbs and E. F. A. Rankin were appionted tellers of the 12,500 shares of stock of the M and W, 12,486 were presented in person or by proxy. A board of directors were elected, as follows: James McMillan, Detroit; Calvin S. Brice, Sanuel [* Samuel] Thomas and George Seney, New York; C. R. Cummings, Chicago; John G. Moore and Frank K. Sturgis, New York. Of the 56,870 shares of the MH and O RR., stock, 38,979 were represented in person or by proxy. Nine directors were elected to hold until their successors are elected or have qualified James McMillan and Hugh McMillan, Detriot; Samuel Thomas, Calvin S. Brice, New York; C. R. Cummings, Chicago; George I. Seney, Nelson Robinson, John G. moore [* Moore] and Frank K. Sturges, New York. The DSS and A stockholders meeting was then held; 205,790 of the 220,000 shares of stock being represented. A board of seven directors was elected: James McMillan, Hugh McMillan, Detroit; Samuel Thomas, Calvin S. Brice, New York; C. R. Cummings, Chicago and A. D. Julliard, George I. Seney, New York. |
