December 4, 1886 The Marshall Statesman, Marshall, Mi., claims that the syndicate that recently purchased the M and O [M and HO] is the same that also purchased the DM and M and other connecting lines in the upper peninsula and that they intend to push the M and O [M and HO] to the straits and then ship grain and other products at Duluth directly over their own continuous line to Toledo and thence to the east. The Statesman predicts that the extension north from Marshall is but a question of time. |
