November 26, 1886 Houghton, Nov. 26.- A special train of four palace coaches containing the directors of The DSS and A, the parties who have purchased the DM and M and the MH and O, arrived here last evening. Thursday morning they took a special train on the MR. leaving at 9:10 for Calumet, where they viewed the great C and H mine plant returning at 1:25 pm. Among the party were Messers. Cummings, Brice, Shaw, Latcha, Gen. Thomas, Gen. Hammond and Gen. Caldwell. They left here immediately after their arrival from calumet. Their object was a tour of inspection of their newly acquired roads. |
