Manistique Pioneer-Tribune newspapers

The Pioneer-Tribune is a weekly paper published in Manistique, Michigan that covers news from the central Upper Peninsula. It was previously known as the Manistique Pioneer-Tribune, which started in 1896 when the Manistique Weekly Pioneer and the Manistique Tribune merged. The Manistique Weekly Pioneer (1895-1896) had previously been called the Manistique Semi-Weekly Pioneer (1892-1895), the Manistique Tri-Weekly Pioneer (1887-1892), the Tri-Weekly Pioneer (1887), the Semi-Weekly Pioneer (1885-1887), and the Schoolcraft County Pioneer (1880-1885).

The digital collection currently contains issues from 1985 to 2003. More years will be available online in the coming months. Other years of the paper can be accessed on microfilm at the Manistique School and Public Library and the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives.
