L'Anse sentinel (L'Anse, Mich.) Source: The L'Anse Sentinel L'Anse, Lake Superior, Mi. May 14, 1892 Saturday Newtonville - Tuesday noon, general manager Fitch arrived here in his private car, accompanied by H. J. Payne, civil engineer, and Peter W. Neu, of the firm of Furst Neu and Co. The object of their visit was to locate a branch from here to the Michigan Redstone quarry. It is their intention to complete the road at as early a date as possible. This branch will enable the Redstone Co., to ship stone either by rail or by water as most convenient or desirable. |
