Annual Rate of Replacing Railroad Ties on the Duluth, South Shore, and Atlantic

Transcription of newspaper article from the Newberry news (Newberry, Mich.), 1892, regarding the Duluth, South Shore, and Atlantic Railway company., Newberry news (Newberry, Mich.), [Annual Rate of replacing RAILROAD TIES on DSS and A--1892]  The D. S. S. and A. Railway Co. put down 150,000 ties annually repairing their road, which means an expenditure of nearly $30,000 for the ties alone.
