January 21, 1888                    Saturday  A town named Bond has been laid out where the DSS and A crosses the middle branch of the Ontonagon at the falls. Ten families of homesteaders have settled there during the past week and others are still on the way. By the time the road is opened in the spring there will be quite a lively little town there.
