January 5, 1888 Thursday Owing to the non-completion of the new ferry transfer "St. Ignace" and the inability of one boat to make connections across the Straits of Mackinac with double daily train service, the night train between St. Ignace and Houghton has been ab and oned. An early completion of the new boat is anticipated, when the train service, which has given general satisfaction will be resumed. In taking off the through night trains the company returns to the former train service, a train running, from Marquette to Michigamme every morning. DSS and A MT Co. Passenger |
