"Our Toot" Will Arrive DSS and A At last there is the possibility of the construction train reaching here at a definite time (unless they meet with some unusual accident.) There is plenty of rail this time, and by dark tomorrow, the construction train expects to reach the roundhouse. It was first thought that they could make it last night, but yesterday's storm delayed the work. This morning a great number went out on the grade to see the construction train, and by night they will probably swarm there. The many delays have caused the feeling of confidence, in any date set for their arrival to be shaken, but last night when they quit work they were within 2 miles of the Sault, and had laid a mile and a quarter of rail during the day. Today will lessen the distance over a mile, so that Friday noon, or a little later, ought to see the long cherished locomotive in our city limits. At the roundhouse everything is activity. The foundation for the walls is all completed. The first iron column in place and the brick work begun. The foundation walls for the engine stalls are not all finished but nearly so. Mr. Joe Mitchell the foreman of the work, shows his capacity and everything is done properly and well. The masonry of the turn table is all complete, ready for the arrival of the table itself. Now that the foundation is completed and the brick work begun, a good idea of the size and nature of the building can be ascertained. It is not probable that the work on the roundhouse can be completed much before the first of December, although it will be enclosed long before then. DSS and A Stations
