May 7, 1887 Saturday Negaunee - Thursday morning A. Watson, general superintendent and William Orr, general freight agent of the DSS and A arrived in the city in a special car. They were accompanied by their predecessors, John Hornby and A. S. Parks. The managing officials were making a tour of inspection of this portion of the road. Nearly the entire day was spent on the M and W branch, near which the "east range" mines are located. |
