Concrete at the Mackinac Bridge anchor pier (6 of 6)

Concrete is placed in the lower areas of the anchor piers using tremmies (elephant trunk). This is a hopper/funnel device with a hose attached used to place materials where desired by gravity.   Once these areas had served their purpose they were filled with concrete.
