Morgan Lumber & Cedar Company Steam Hauler, Near Foster City, Dickinson County, Michigan, December 1908: In December 1908, Foster City’s Morgan Lumber & Cedar Company began operating a steam hauling locomotive which could haul from eight to ten loads of hardwood logs each of which would require four teams of horses to pull.
