Abstract/Description: | Photograph of Claude Parmelee's dance hall, The Nightingale, which opened on May 15, 1925 at Badwater. The 146 by 80 foot structure was constructed in the Spanish style of architecture and had a dance floor 96 by 80 feet. A mezzanine 36 by 80 feet was used for private parties and serving lunches. The building was remodeled and additions were made several times. |
