Iron Mountain Police force

In 1895 Iron Mountain's police force included, from left to right, Sam Costa, Abe King, Police Chief John Clements, unidentified, Germain Theibault and Mr. Milliman. Note their helmets, six-pointed star badges, long coats and wooden nightsticks. These policemen were probably standing in front of one of the Chapin Mine buildings which were on located on the east side of the 100 block of South Stephenson Avenue.
