Spencer Shunk’s interview focuses on the settling of the Shunk Road family farm outside of Sault Sainte Marie, MI. He describes the crops, making hay, lumbering in winter, driving teams of horses, moonshining, the origins of Spencer’s butcher shop, appliance sales, cattle raising, dances at the Grange Hall, wrestling matches at Fort Brady, and family anecdotes.
