The Ishpeming Iron Ore newspaper began in 1886 and was published until 1951, when it merged with the Ishpeming Reflector. It had previously been called the Weekly Agitator from 1879 to 1881 and the Ishpeming Iron Agitator from 1882 to 1886. This issue of the Iron Ore is particularly noteworthy because it contains many illustrations from renowned commercial artist Will Bradley (1868-1962). Bradley was an Ishpeming native who worked for the Ishpeming Iron Ore in the 1870s and 1880s. He went on to become an artist for books, magazines, posters, and catalogs as well as a filmmaker and author.(External source of information: University of Delaware exhibit on Will H.
