Note(s): |
This audio file is a recording of a convocation of the Paisano Club, an organization for Italian Americans. John Barton (spelling may not be accurate) gave a speech about what his Italian heritage meant to him. It included very misogynistic jokes about domestic violence, a discussion of where his family was from in Italy, comments about local politics, and stories about his service in World War II. Russell Magnaghi then gave a speech about the status of the Italian American Oral History Project. The audio file concludes with a sing-along and a closing prayer. |
